It changed the pace of my entire digestive routine. Food remained in my stomach longer. That helped me feel full and eat less—but it also explained why a small meal could leave me feeling heavy for hours, why nausea could appear after only a few bites, why bloating built throughout the day, and why my digestive rhythm no longer felt anything like it did before Wegovy®.
The longer stool remained inside the colon, the more water it lost. It became harder. Drier. More difficult to pass.
And while all this was happening, I was eating a fraction of what I used to eat. That was the goal—but it also meant I wasn't consistently getting the same vitamins, minerals and nutrients from food.
Suddenly, the constipation, stomach discomfort and exhaustion didn't look like three unrelated problems. They looked like three connected parts of the same new routine.
Part 1: Slower regularity
The bowel movement becomes harder, drier and increasingly uncomfortable the longer you wait.
Part 2: Stomach and digestive discomfort
Food feels like it sits there too long, contributing to nausea, heaviness, bloating and that “still full from lunch” feeling.
Part 3: Less food, less everyday fuel
You're eating less, but you may also struggle to get everything your body needs to feel alert, steady and present throughout the day.
This explained why every one-at-a-time fix felt incomplete. I wasn't dealing with one isolated symptom. I was dealing with several connected needs at the same time.
